IT Support Technician: On-Site, Los Angeles, CA

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible to provide Help Desk technical support assistance to any IT function and consults with users to ensure computer systems function to specifications. Ensures proper functioning of the organization’s information systems and makes upgrades as necessary. Keeps computer equipment, hardware, and software updated to meet organizational needs. Performs a variety of IT related tasks

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Record, troubleshoot, escalate and follow-up with end-users regarding IT support matters.

2. Assist in maintaining both hardware and software needs.

3. Support computer users; both hardware and software needs.

4. Install and deploy workstations, tablets, and other IT technology to users.

5. Provide end-user training with IT systems and applications.

6. Adhere to all IT processes, policies, standards, and procedures.

7. Maintain complete and accurate logs and documentation of responsibilities and work completed.

8. Assist in creating and maintaining network infrastructure documents and IT procedures. 9. After-hours end-user, network and IT infrastructure support required.

10. Travel required to company locations to support end-users, network and IT infrastructure.

11. Performs other IT related duties as directed and assigned by IT Supervisor/Manager/Director.

12. Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Proficiency with various hardware platforms and operating systems such as Windows, Android, iOS

• Proficiency with systems and PC software such as: MS Office, Windows and associated applications, MS Outlook, Anti-virus programs, Adobe, others.

• Able to manage multiple IT issues effectively

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Able to help analyze, develop, plan, recommend, initiate and implement systems and solutions

• Follow IT processes, policies, standards and procedures

• Effective communication skills (oral and written)

• Strong troubleshooting skills

• Strong organization and analytical skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. IT833 Non-Exempt Corporate

• Associates degree in a related field can be substituted if the incumbent has minimum of 1-3 years of experience.

• Experience required with end-user hardware, software and application support.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Work is typically performed in an office environment, as well as settings throughout the system and surrounding communities. Independent travel is required.

• Consistently communicates and converses with leadership, employees and clients to exchange accurate information.

• Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences to perform work.

• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer to enter, transcribe, record, store or maintain information in written or electronic forms to track records and generate reports or to conduct analysis

• Occasionally required to travel by various methods including air, rail, or to operate a motor vehicle to attend business meetings.

• Regularly lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 30 pounds to repair IT equipment.

• Typically bends, stoops, and crouches on a regular basis to check IT equipment.

• Consistently uses visual and hearing to assess information and equipment.
